APPROACH

Our approach is straightforward and practical

We start by a “Discovery Process” which involves interviewing you and other key stakeholders in your business to understand the problems, challenges and opportunities.

We then present our “Feedback” in the form of easy-to-digest “Findings” and “Recommended Actions”.

We then discuss these with you to develop an “Action Plan”, which you can implement on your own or retain us to deliver with you or on your behalf. The Action Plan is usually broken down into “Phases” to enable tracking of results.

We set “Measurement Criteria” to set targets for outcomes and assess these regularly to ensure that the client’s expectations are being met and to allow adjustments to the plan to be made.

Our input is not purely academic and we’re not afraid of putting in the hard work with you. We don’t “clock watch” and we are always available to help when you need us - we know that business isn’t a nine-to-five activity.

Our fees can be set on a day rate, fixed project rate, and/or determined by a successful outcome where we share both the risk and reward with you. This is particularly relevant where we help you to sell your business and we will work with you on the basis of a retainer fee, plus a success fee for hitting a target consideration.

WAY OF LIFE

Along with his business activities, Richard is a qualified football coach and the Chair of Harpenden Colts Football Club, one of the largest youth football clubs in the country with over 1,000 playing members aged between 6 and 18 years.

 

HPS is proud to sponsor Harpenden Colts and Roundwood Park School (RPS), Harpenden and provides funds to contribute towards:

  • activities that encourage inclusive participation of young people in football.

  • the establishment of a “home” for Harpenden Colts.

  • building on the excellent work that the Club does to enhance the quality of coaching and interventions to help young people build their self-esteem and confidence; improve their physical and psychological well-being; and build lasting relationships and positive memories through participation in collaborative team activities.

 

To support these activities further, HPS will donate 10% of any revenues which derive directly from its sponsorship of Harpenden Colts and RPS to be split 50/50 between each organisation.
